Carnival serves as opening act for Eyes to the Skies
It never hurts to have an opening act.
Sinatra had one. Elvis had one. Even the Beatles had one.
So, too, it turns out, does Lisle's Eyes to the Skies.
The three-day festival doesn't officially open until Friday in Community Park near Route 53 and Short Street. But folks got a jump on the party Wednesday night, and can do so again from 5 to 11 p.m. Thursday, by attending the carnival that runs through Sunday at the festival grounds.
