This photo was one of about 40 that I took at my grandson's baseball game, and was timed as Calvin slid into home. I manipulated it into black & white as that seemed to focus the eye toward the players, and less toward the bright field. A friend labeled it "beating the tag", which pretty much says it all.

This spring, we visited Lombard's Lilacia Park to view the many lilac bushes in bloom. The park also showcases several tulip beds. This "Red Shine" Lily Flowering Tulip was the color highlight of the trip. I used my 50mm macro lens to capture the flower's stunning "interior" colors.
