Streamwood police searching for endangered man

Editor's note: Luis Acevedo has been found, authorities said.

Authorities are searching for a man with limited cognitive abilities who is missing from Streamwood.

Illinois State Police issued the endangered missing person advisory for Luis Acevedo, 52, at the request of Streamwood police.

He last was seen about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 100 block of Timber Trail in Streamwood, authorities said.

Acevedo is 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 120 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

He was wearing a dark winter jacket, a red and black shirt, and light blue sweatpants with white stripes.
