Roselle Road tollway ramp opens in Schaumburg

A new westbound entrance ramp onto the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) at Roselle Road opened Thursday, the final step in a $52 million project to provide a full interchange. The tollway, the village and Cook County collaborated on the project.

"Westbound access to I-90 at Roselle Road has been part of Schaumburg's long-term vision, and the completion of this full interchange will provide motorists with greater convenience and accessibility to Schaumburg, adjacent communities and the entire region," Schaumburg Village President Al Larson said in a news release.

The project began in 2014 with the tollway's reconstruction of the Roselle Road bridge to accommodate the widening of I-90. Additional improvements include a bike and pedestrian path on the west side of the bridge, reconstruction of the existing ramps and lighting.
