Sticker reminders not that difficult

Is Jesse White asleep at the wheel? Isn't the Secretary of State supposed to help us with Department of Transportation issues?

The way I see it, he has not done a very good job of letting Illinois residents know about his plan to stop mailing reminders of renewal stickers. How were supposed to find out? After we were all allowed to get $50 tickets?

Jesse White also hasn't let us know that there are many defective license plates on the road. You can tell by the massive rust on some plates that are waiting to get pulled over for an unreadable plate.

And finally, Jesse White is not doing his job to fully comply with the Federal Real ID Act that makes our Illinois licenses virtually on unusable forms of ID.

How hard would it have been to publish more public announcements to let people know about this?

I personally don't know anyone who regularly checks out the Secretary of State website to find out new information; do you?
