Fox Lake crash sends one to hospital

A two-vehicle crash Tuesday night on Route 173 near Wilmette Road in Fox Lake sent one male victim to Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry.

The crash happened at 7:48 p.m. just west of Wilmette Road, said Fox Lake Fire Department Battalion Chief Larry VanHoorelbeke.

He said two other people involved in the crash were not injured. He said the fire department does not know what caused the crash.

Fox Lake police did not immediately respond for comment.
