Culinary creativity on display daily at every Moretti's restaurant
For over 50 years, Ala Carte Entertainment has been providing residents of the Chicago area with unequaled food, drink and entertainment in a wide variety of venues, around the city and its many suburbs. The names of Ala Carte's many offerings include Moretti's, Finn McCool's, Famous Freddies Roadhouse, Chandler's, Buddy's Bites and Brews and the Drink nightclub.
One of Ala Carte's restaurant concepts, Moretti's (there are 12 around the area), won this year's Daily Herald Readers' Choice Best of the Best awards for Thin Crust Pizza and Outdoor Dining.
The legacy began with the now-legendary Snuggery restaurants/nightclubs, according to Mark Hoffmann, vice president of Ala Carte Entertainment and son of its founder, Fred Hoffmann.
Memorable food is part of the Hoffmann family legacy. Recipes have been handed down in the Hoffmann family much the way stories and photos are handed down in other families. Fred and his sons Mark and Dean have drawn upon that culinary legacy to build their business and see it thrive.
Fred Hoffmann opened his first Snuggery on North Avenue in Chicago in 1970 and the sky has been the limit ever since, as the talented team at Ala Carte developed more and more restaurant concepts, and purchased locations to house them. And they have never rested on their laurels. They periodically introduce new restaurant concepts to locations they have owned for years. In fact, at one point there were eight Snuggery restaurants scattered around the metropolitan area and now all of them have been transformed into updated concepts including many of their flagship brand, Moretti's.
"Change is important in the restaurant business. Patrons constantly want to enjoy new and exciting culinary experiences, so restaurants need to grow and evolve," Hoffmann explained.

Moretti's routinely takes an approach to its food that is focused simultaneously on culinary creativity and science, according to Hoffmann. From their fresh mozzarella, which is aged to melt and brown perfectly, to homemade marinara and crust cooked to the perfect flavor and crispness, quality and attention to detail, Moretti's separates its pizza from the competition.
Moretti's pizza and its entire large menu can be enjoyed either indoors or outdoors on large patio gardens found at most Moretti's.
