Two face drug charges in Fox River Grove
Two people in Fox River Grove face felony drug charges after police said they found marijuana and heroin in their apartment.
Ashley Elizabeth Moyer, 27, and Tyler Z. Key, 23, of the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, were arrested after officers responded to a call early Wednesday about a disturbance, police said in a new release Friday.
Officers determined there was marijuana in the apartment, and got a warrant to search the location after one of the occupants refused to give consent for a search.
Officers found an unspecified quantity of marijuana, seven Xanax pills, five small plastic bags of heroin, several small plastic bags with heroin residue, two scales, packaging items, several hypodermic syringes and other drug paraphernalia, police said.
Moyer and Key were charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a church.
Both are held on $10,000 at the McHenry County Jail, records show. They are due in court March 1.
