Outdoor dining returns to Hale Street in Wheaton

Outdoor dining returns to Hale Street in Wheaton starting this weekend.

Through Oct. 31, vehicular traffic will be diverted away from Hale Street between Front and Wesley Streets. The area has dining tents shared by neighboring restaurants.

Seasonal outdoor dining on Hale Street began in 2020 as an economic and safety response for struggling restaurants in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. The practice returned last year and is revived again as a way to provide more space for dining,

The Downtown Wheaton Association also has plans to bring in entertainment on weekend nights. For more information on events, visit downtownwheaton.com.
