Caravan questions
I have only two questions: Why is the mass of humanity moving toward our southern border called a "caravan" when, in fact, it is a marauding band of "invaders"? And why, when these people failed to apply for asylum in Mexico (the first country they entered after leaving their state of "threatened violence and oppression") are they asking for asylum in the United States? I believe international law mandates that refugees must apply for asylum in the FIRST country they enter after leaving their homeland. Why is no one raising this point?
