Singer brings music of Ella Fitzgerald

The Prairie Center for the Arts welcomes Ella Fitzgerald: First Lady of Song at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 11.

Celebrate America's most beloved jazz singer in an evening of song. Award-winning Chicago actress Alexis J. Roston emits the sweet and sultry swing of great Ella Fitzgerald.

Roston performs signature tunes from Duke Ellington, George Gershwin and more, including "It Don't Mean a Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing," "Summertime," and "Cry Me a River."

Tickets for Ella Fitzgerald: First Lady of Song are $25 ($23 seniors and students) and can be ordered online at www.prairiecenter.org or by calling (847) 895-3600.
