Warrenville band plays concert to inspire neighborhood
John Herpolsheimer shared the sound of music with his Warrenville neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
People trickled out to sit in camp chairs on their sun-filled front lawns as the impromptu band filled the air with rock music.
The neighborhood group consisted of John Herpolsheimer on guitar, Sean Herpolsheimer on bass and Chris Swade on drums.
"We sort of took our cue from Italy," said John Herpolsheimer before starting to play to the group of about 25 people listening.
"Six feet over rather than six feet under," he joked when he asked what the name of the new band was.
The group has performed together twice in as many weekends, bringing a mix of originals and classics to their short stretch of Jackson Street.
"We are happy that we can play," Sean Herpolsheimer said.
"It's uplifting the spirits of the neighborhood," Swade chimed in.
