Woman hospitalized after Schaumburg crash
A two-car crash on Golf Road west of National Parkway in Schaumburg sent one woman to the hospital Tuesday morning, officials said.
The woman, who suffered injuries that are not life-threatening, was driving east on Golf Road in the right lane around 11:25 a.m. A man driving in the lane next to her tried to cut across her lane to enter the private driveway near McDonald's and Chick-fil-A, crashing his car into hers, according to Schaumburg Police Sgt. Christy Lindhurst.
Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene, and the male driver was issued a traffic citation, Lindhurst said. The scene was cleared after about an hour.
