Ever more disturbing headlines
You can count on pretty much every day another headline announcing the next annoying or disgusting Trump action. Recently, it was "Trump defends Saudis in killing." I applaud the Herald's Opinion position, which aptly captures the misguidance of this pronouncement. Yet, it doesn't surprise me that this would be Trump's position.
Right from the start, his first response was "The worst cover-up in history." Did it come to anyone's attention that Khashoggi's brutal murder dismemberment was entirely lost and inconsequential to Trump - just that it was a terrible cover-up, darn it, why didn't they do a better job of covering it up?
What never ceases to amaze me is how Trump's advocates and defenders can continue to accept his utterly unprincipled and mindless behavior and falsehoods in exchange for what is perceived as admirable policies. I hope they will finally wake up when they realize the coal jobs didn't materialize, how climate change denial has surrendered alternate energy technology jobs to the rest of the world, how the tariffs ultimately backfire and damage our economy with job losses and higher prices and their taxes come due and they recognize how they've been played for a vote and a huge big-business and rich folks giveaway.
