Hale Street in downtown Wheaton to close during daytime hours

Hale Street in downtown Wheaton will be closed starting Thursday as crews replace aging sewer lines and a water main.

The street will be closed to traffic and parking between Front and Wesley streets from dawn until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The project is expected to last two weeks.

Hale Street will be reopened in the evenings, and pedestrian access to all businesses will remain open throughout the duration of the project, officials said. Customer parking will be available in the Wheaton Place Garage, 232 W. Wesley St., and Lot 2 on the south side of Wesley Street between Main and Hale streets.
