Girls volleyball

Mundelein d. Wauconda: McKenzie Theis recorded 4 blocks, Mackenzie Linane served 3 aces, and the host Mustangs won 25-19, 25-20 in their season opener.

Mundelein received 3 kills apiece from Sidney Brunkow and Katherine East, while Julia Loverde added 2 kills and 2 aces. Faith Krabbe (2 blocks) and Linane each dished out 4 assists in the winning effort.

Wauconda (0-1) received 5 aces and 11 digs from Jane Sakowicz.
