INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Police have arrested the son of Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett on drug charges.

WXIN-TV reports (http://bit.ly/29Rupv4 ) that 18-year-old William Hogsett was arrested July 1 after officers saw his car cross the center line and pulled him over in Rushville, the mayor's hometown, about 30 miles southeast of Indianapolis.

He passed a field sobriety test but was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

Police say the amount of marijuana was less than 30 grams.
