Keep body cams on
If officers are equipped with body cameras to record events during a police action to provide unbiased information about the event, why are they able to turn off the auto or image recordings or purposely block the camera at there discretion? How does that represent the event?
Only the Captain should be able to stop all the recordings to save as evidence. An officer that blocks the cameras view intentionally should be subject to disciplinary action. Anything less makes these cameras a joke.
