We need more training in values
We need more than a national day of civility as recently proposed by U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren of Plano. Being nice to each other and treating others with respect is essentially "The Golden Rule," which is taught by the seven world's major religions. Separating God from society when addressing our problems and needs misses the mark.
We as a society or culture need to recognize a moral dilemma that requires moral answers - values training for example. The idea that values should not be imposed or taught because right and wrong are intolerant concepts for our "enlightened society" are taking us down the wrong path and have been for a number of years.
