DuPage League to display children's art

Nearly 50 pieces of art created by school-aged children served by the People's Resource Center will be displayed during July by the DuPage Art League.

The People's Resource Center is a nonprofit social service agency serving families of DuPage County by meeting basic needs, including food, clothing and rent assistance, as well as offering skill-building resources such as literacy classes, job assistance, computer training and art.

The art created by children served by the PRC will be on exhibit from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays in July in Gallery II at the DuPage Art League, 218 Front St., Wheaton. Stop by early to pick up your own copy of one of the postcards created by the children.

During the Gallery Reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 9, the league will host a hands-on project for children and parents. Materials will be provided.
