St. Charles History Museum to host 'A Visit With Suffragist Alice Paul' May 26

The St. Charles History Museum will host "A Visit With Suffragist Alice Paul" from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, on Zoom.

This year marks the 101st anniversary of women gaining the right to vote through the passage of the 19th Amendment. They are celebrating with the museum's virtual exhibit "Breaking The Barriers: Suffrage in St. Charles," which launched on March 8, 2021.

Along with this exhibit, they have invited historical impersonator Leslie Goddard to portray Alice Paul, one of history's most prolific suffragists. This fabulous program takes a dramatic look at the journey women faced in securing the right to vote.

Cost is $15.

This program is generously sponsored by Edward Jones in St. Charles.
