Holidays on the Town Returns to Downtown Palatine Friday, November 18!

Grab a group of friends and join the Downtown Palatine Business Association (DPBA) for their festive and fun Holidays on the Town (HOTT) event Friday, November 18 from 5 - 9 p.m.! Get a head start on your shopping this holiday season with a memorable night out - and take the DPBA Holiday Trolley - that will whisk guests around downtown Palatine to the participating locations. Businesses will offer vast selections of holiday specials, sales, wine tastings and delicious hors d'oeuvres, entertainment and more. And don't forget Santa will be circling downtown to find out who's been naughty or nice! He'll also be posing for selfies with guests!

Passports are your ticket into the event, along with passage on the Holiday Trolley, and can be purchased online at Venmo (search: @Downtown-Palatine) or on the night of the event at any participating location for $10. Guests that have their passports stamped at participating locations will be entered to win individual store raffles, as well as the "Rudolph Raffle' - where winners will take away one of two baskets filled with gift cards from DPBA members and other area businesses!

"Holidays on the Town is an annual event sponsored by the DPBA that is enjoyed by hundreds of area residents as we kick off the holiday season," said DPBA Vice President Larry Schroth, who also co-owns Foxglove Cottage. "Participants enjoy a unique experience with friends or family, get a chance to start their holiday shopping and support the Palatine's small businesses - all at the same time."

Join us in supporting and shopping local! Spending $100 at a small business results in nearly $50 of those dollars being reinvested back into the community, whereas shopping at a regional chain store brings $14, and just $1 when shopping online. Our small businesses need our support now more than ever!

Become a sponsor! Visit downtownpalatine.org/sponsorships for sponsorship information-and state your interest soon to take advantage of early marketing efforts! The final deadline to participate is Tuesday, November 1. For more information about HOTT, DPBA businesses and the organization itself, visit DowntownPalatine.org.

In the spirit of the season, area residents can also enjoy the annual tree lightning hosted by the Village of Palatine on Saturday, November 19. Visit palatine.il.us/calendar for more information.
