Veterans Day social planned in Buffalo Grove

Vernon Township and Vernon American Legion Post 1247 will host a Veterans Day Social starting at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the township office, 3050 Main St., Buffalo Grove with a flag presentation ceremony, Pledge of Allegiance, national anthem, and a welcoming from Vernon Township Supervisor and veteran, William Peterson. Coffee, doughnuts and conversation will follow and a representative from the Lake County Veteran's Assistance Commission will be on hand to answer questions regarding benefits or other matters.
