Learn more about running for Fremont school board

The Fremont Elementary District 79 school board will host a question-and-answer information session for anyone interested in running for election to the school board, at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, in the Fremont Middle School library, 28871 N. Fremont Center Road, Mundelein.

Six seats on the District 79 school board are up for election April 4, 2017. Both 2- and 4-year term positions are open.

Petitions for candidates running for election are due to the Lake County clerk's office no later than Dec. 19. Community members interested in running for a position may pick up a petition packet any work day between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Fremont district office, 28855 N. Fremont Center Road, Mundelein. Questions may be directed to Andrea Hesse, the superintendent's assistant, at (847) 566-0169. Information about the election can also be found at www.iasb.com/elections/
