West Chicago postpones hearing on subdivision to Feb. 1
The continuation of a public hearing on Pulte Homes' bid to build a subdivision in West Chicago has been rescheduled.
On Tuesday, members of the plan commission and zoning board voted to shift the originally scheduled hearing from that evening to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1. No reason was shared about the shift.
Pulte is seeking permission to build 269 single-family homes southeast of the intersection of Route 59 and Smith Road. The undeveloped 111-acre property is currently owned by St. Andrews Golf & Country Club.
The public hearing on the matter commenced Dec. 15 in a special online meeting that lasted more than three hours.
