See author Michael Edmonds at Volo Bog Saturday

Michael Edmonds, author of "Taking Flight: The History of Birds and People in the Heart of America," will discuss his research from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Volo Bog State Natural Area, 28478 W. Brandenburg Road, Ingleside.

In the book, Edmonds explores cultures from ancient American Indian shamans through frontier market hunters, and modern conservationists. The talk is geared to geared to adults and interested youth ages 16 and over.
