City to present 2015 strategic plan at Jan. 19 government operations committee meeting

The city of St. Charles has completed the 2015 update to its strategic plan. The final plan will be presented at the Jan. 19 government operations committee meeting, held in council chambers, 2 E. Main St., immediately following the 7 p.m. city council meeting.

In October 2014, the city began the process of updating its 2008-2014 strategic plan, which identifies goals, priorities and an action plan for the future of St. Charles.

Working with Sikich LLP, the city gathered information from city leaders and community stakeholders through: data from the 2013 Resident Priority Survey; interviews; eight focus groups; and two community workshops.

"We would like to thank all who volunteered their time to be a part of the city's strategic planning process," said City Administrator Mark Koenen. "We received useful feedback from a variety of individuals regarding the city's past performance and potential future initiatives. We appreciate the time and effort of all who participated in the strategic planning events to help shape our community's future."
