Issue questions
* What are the most important issues facing your community and how do you intend to address them?
Keeping costs low for services, speed limits lowered on some side streets, more street lights, flooding issues and trying to bring back business to the Irving Park St corridor and in the strip malls.
* What makes you the best candidate for the job?
My husband and I have lived in our home for over 20years. I raised two children and have had several dogs. I worked for the Wood Dale Part District for the last five years and have seen alot of change. I am active around the neighborhood and think it is time I try to be part of the solution to better the 4th Ward community.
* Describe your leadership style and explain how you think that will be effective in producing actions and decisions with your village board or city council.
I am a team player and a people person. I like to interact and listen. I feel I would be a good fit, to bring our ideas and concerns to the city council. I wll be the voice for the Ward 4 people, if the people don't speak then there is no voice. It is up to all of us to get involved to better the community.
* How would you describe the condition of your community's budget, and what are the most important specific actions the town should take to assure providing the level of services people want?
At the moment I think the budget is working but stretched thin because of the sewer plant project. I also think we can help it by having conversations about ideas to produce positive outcomes for the community as a whole.
* What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?
I would like to see more interactions with the neighbors of Ward 4. More social gatherings, block parties and community functions. Let's bring back the "old Fashion town" feel.
