Mount Prospect man sentenced to prison for sexually abusing girls
A Mount Prospect man was sentenced to 6½ years in prison for sexually abusing two teenage girls.
Michael Kenny, 57, pleaded guilty this week to aggravated criminal sexual assault in exchange for the sentence, which also requires him to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, prosecutors said.
Kenny must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
Police received a call in June 2016 from a relative of the girls. One of the girls told officers Kenny had assaulted her earlier that month.
Kenny was also ordered to pay $884 in fines. He received credit for 607 days in custody, court records show.
