Budget impasse hurts most vulnerable
The budget impasse in Springfield is causing great suffering to its most vulnerable citizens - the cognitively and physically impaired.
Our son who is 38 and has autism and a seizure disorder will be forced to vacate his group home of 20 years because of the standoff between Governor Rauner and Speaker Michael Madigan.
Illinois ranks ninth in wealth and 48th in services to the disabled. I urge you to contact your local State Senator and Reprsentaitve to allocate emergency funds. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
