Four vehicles damaged in Warrenville parking lot fire

Four vehicles were damaged in a fire Tuesday afternoon in a Warrenville parking lot, officials said.

Because of a fuel tank rupture, firefighters needed foam to completely extinguish the blaze, which was reported at 3:56 p.m. near the corner of Ferry and Winfield roads, according to a news release from Warrenville Fire Protection District.

Officials sealed off nearby storm sewers to prevent fuel runoff, the news release said.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
