Former full-timer returns to volunteer at Shelter, Inc.

I used to work here as a full-timer, having started in 1998. I stayed for 10 years working in the Healthy Families Program, but had to leave Shelter once state funding ran out.

But I loved working for the "Shelter Kids," so I came back as a volunteer. The people here are wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoy working together to help these children. They're desperate for our help, and it's wonderful to be a part of that effort.

To date, I've done a whole pile of data entry and have stuffed more envelopes than I ever thought possible. And, yes, being part of a team that helps where it can is just a tremendously rewarding experience.
