St. Emily students celebrate Dia de los Muertos
In Mexico, Dia de los Muertos recognizes that while death is sad for those who have lost loved ones, life in heaven is one of celebration. To commemorate this holiday, St. Emily School Kindergarten through 5th grade students decorated sugar and paper skulls with colorful designs, while the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders designed OFRENDA altars containing items their deceased loved ones enjoyed while on this earth.
