Sign up for Cub Scout Religious Awards by Oct. 1

St. Mark's Church in Geneva and the Three Fires Council-Fox Valley District are offering both the God and Me & the God and Family Religious Awards classes for all Protestant-Christian Scouts (interdenominational including Lutheran and nondenominational).

The God and Me/God and Family programs are the first two of four programs in the "God and Country" Series. Its objectives are to help young people grow in their understanding of the Christian faith, to help young people see how other people have translated belief into action, and to provide young people with the opportunity for Christian service to others.

The God and Family class for fourth- and fifth-graders begins on Saturday, Oct. 7. It will meet every other week.

The God and Me class for first- to third-graders will begin on Saturday, Oct. 14. It will meet every other week. Classes run from 10 to 11 a.m.

Both classes will have a final meeting on Saturday, Dec. 16, and share in a pizza party hosted by St. Mark's Church at doughocracy, 407 S. Third St. in Geneva.

There will be a small fee of $7 per student to cover materials and workbooks, payable at the first class. Awards will be presented in January at St. Mark's or at a location of your choosing such as a Pack Meeting or your home church.

Fill out and return the registration form by Sunday, Oct. 1, at foxvalleydistrict.org.
