Dr. Jun Lim Installed as Chicago Dental Society's North Side Branch Director

Dr. Lim Among Three New Branch Directors Joining Chicago Dental Society Leadership.

A practicing periodontist for nearly 25 years, Jun Lim, D.D.S., M.S., of Park Ridge, Illinois, was installed as North Side Branch Director of the Chicago Dental Society (CDS) on November 14. Dr. Lim has been involved with CDS for many years and has held numerous leadership positions with the organization, including serving as President of the North Side Branch, as well as General Chair of the Midwinter Meeting in 2016 and on the Midwinter Meeting General Arrangements Committee in 2018 and 2019.

As North Side Branch Director, Dr. Lim will help govern North Side Branch members, drive engagement, recruit members and help with preparations for the 157th Midwinter Meeting, which will be held at McCormick Place West in Chicago, February 24-26, 2022. The Midwinter Meeting is CDS' annual scientific meeting and one of the dental industry's premier events. The 2022 event will be back in person after a virtual experience in 2021 and will offer attendees access to courses taught by world-class speakers and today's leaders in dental innovation, live exhibits, and networking opportunities with colleagues and friends. He will hold this position until 2025.

Dr. Lim holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earned his dental degree from Columbia University's School of Dental and Oral Surgery and received a Certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science from The Ohio State University. Dr. Lim is dedicated to teaching the next generation of dental professionals and has served as an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Dentistry, as well as an Adjunct Instructor at the Midwestern University School of Dentistry. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association and the Illinois State Dental Society.

Dr. Lim has worked in private practice, focused on implantology and periodontics, since 1994. He and his wife reside in Park Ridge, Illinois and have one daughter. In his free time, Dr. Lim enjoys repairing and restoring cars, going to concerts and trying new restaurants and cuisines.

Established in 1864, CDS is the largest local society of the American Dental Association, with more than 4,000 members in Cook, Lake and DuPage counties.
