Bloomingdale VFW holding winter clothing drive for homeless veterans in October

Bloomingdale VFW Post 7539 and community partners are holding a winter clothing drive for homeless veterans throughout October.

New or gently used winter coats in all men’s and women’s sizes are needed, as are new gloves, scarves, hats and other lightly used, clean clothing in good, ready-to-wear condition. Drop-offs can be made at four sites in Bloomingdale, including Village Hall (201 S. Bloomingdale Road), the Bloomingdale Public Library (101 Fairfield Way), Fire Protection District 1 (179 S. Bloomingdale Road) and the Johnston Recreation Center (172 S. Circle Ave.).

Donations will be delivered to the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center for distribution. Questions can be directed to the VFW Post 7539 at info@vfw7539.org.
