Two candidate forums canceled after Crespo, Bean cite scheduling conflicts

Democratic state Rep. Fred Crespo of Hoffman Estates cited an out-of-town family issue as the reason for canceling his attendance at a Saturday candidate forum with Republican challenger Ralph Black of Hanover Park for the 44th District state House seat at the Schaumburg Township District Library in Schaumburg.

The League of Women Voters of the Palatine, Barrington and Schaumburg Areas has canceled that particular 10 a.m. forum.

Organizers also canceled a 2 p.m. forum with 8th Congressional District candidates Melissa Bean of Barrington and Jennifer Davis after Bean cited a scheduling conflict.
