Wheaton to commemorate 25 years since 9/11 with remembrance ceremony
The City of Wheaton invites you to attend its Sept. 11 Remembrance Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11 in the Memorial Park band shell, 225 Karlskoga Ave.
This year will mark 25 years since the Sept. 11 attacks, and the ceremony will honor the individuals our community lost on Sept. 11, 2001 and the military conflicts that followed.
It also will honor all those who serve to protect our community and our nation, including the Wheaton police and fire departments and all military personnel.
Ceremony participants will include Wheaton Mayor Philip Suess, members of the Wheaton police and fire departments and Honor Guard, local musicians, and community leaders.
The ceremony is being hosted in partnership with the Wheaton Park District. The community is invited to come together in remembering all those we lost and honoring those who dedicate their lives to protecting our community and our nation.
