Carpentersville man gets 8-year sentence on child sexual abuse material plea

A Carpentersville man pleaded guilty Monday to possession of child sexual abuse material.

Max Herrera, 28, of the 1400 block of Windsor Circle, was sentenced to eight years in prison, according to Kane County court records.

He was charged in May 2025 with multiple counts of possessing and disseminating videos between Dec. 20, 2024, and April 30, 2025, according to the Kane County state’s attorney’s office.
