LUNG FORCE Walk returns Sept. 13 to Wheaton’s Cantigny Park

Hundreds of walkers are gearing up to put their best foot forward for the American Lung Association’s annual LUNG FORCE Walk, locally presented by Northwestern Medicine Canning Thoracic Institute.

The family-friendly event steps off on Sunday, Sept. 13, at Cantigny Park, 1S151 Winfield Road in Wheaton.

Participants from across the Chicago area will take in beautiful views as they make their way along a 2-mile route through the park to raise funds and awareness about lung disease and clean air. There also will be a health and wellness expo with free resources for the community.

Walkers of all fitness levels, families, and corporate teams can sign up. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. with the Health and Wellness Expo from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The walk begins at 10:30 a.m.

Help raise funds and awareness to support programs, advocacy and education to support more than 1.5 million Illinoisans living with lung disease.
