Bloomingdale Area Women in Business seeks nominations for 2026 Woman of the Year Award

Bloomingdale Area Women in Business (BAWIB) is now accepting nominations for the Georgene Geils Bloomingdale Area Woman of the Year Award.

This annual honor recognizes a woman who demonstrates exceptional leadership, generosity, and dedication to her profession and the community.

Nominees must live or work in Bloomingdale or the surrounding area, though residency in Bloomingdale and Chamber or BAWIB membership are not required.

Candidates should reflect the legacy of Georgene Geils (1928-2011), a pioneering local businesswoman and mentor.

Eligible nominees should inspire and support women, show creativity and initiative in their field, and actively contribute to the community through leadership and service.

A panel of past award recipients will select the honoree, who will be presented with the award at the Best of Bloomingdale Awards Dinner on Sept. 24, 2026, at the Medinah Shriners.

Nominations are open through Aug. 31, 2026, and can be submitted at BloomingdaleChamber.com.
