Woodstock Water Works extends 2026 season through Aug. 30
Summer isn't over yet! Due to seasonal staff availability, Woodstock Water Works is able to extend its 2026 season, giving families even more opportunities to splash, swim, and soak up the sun.
Originally scheduled to close on Tuesday, Aug. 11, Woodstock Water Works will now remain open through Sunday, Aug. 30, after repeated weather-related closures and temporary shutdowns for chemical maintenance impacted the number of days guests were able to enjoy the facility this summer.
“We know many families missed out on pool days due to circumstances beyond anyone's control,” said Mark Pentecost, Woodstock recreation director. “We are fortunate that enough of our seasonal workers were able to stay on to make this extension possible. Extending the season is our way of giving the community more opportunities to enjoy everything Woodstock Water Works has to offer while thanking our guests for their patience and understanding.”
Throughout the extended season, season pass-holders will continue to receive all of their pass holder benefits, and daily admission has been reduced to just $10 per person. Guests can also take advantage of the popular Twilight Rate beginning at 5:30 p.m., with admission reduced to $5.
Normal hours will continue through Aug. 11, then switch to the extended season schedule below. Starting Aug. 15, open swim will transition to weekend-only operations for the remainder of the season, with lap swim and water fitness classes continuing during the week.
EXTENDED SEASON SCHEDULE
Wednesday to Friday, Aug. 12-14
• Open swim from 2 to 7 p.m.
• Lap swim from 6 to 7 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m.
Starting Saturday, Aug. 15
• Open swim on weekends only (Aug. 15-16, 22-23, and 29-30) from noon to 7 p.m. (season pass holder entry at 11 a.m.); $10 admission, Twilight Admission for $5 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
• Lap swim: Free for Water Works season pass-holders and REC Center members, $5 drop-in, from 6 to 7 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m. Monday to Friday; 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday; and 11 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday.
• Water Fitness Classes (REC Center members only) from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, 8 to 9 a.m. Saturdays, and 9 to 10 a.m. Sundays.
