B Jolly Foundation to host its first walkathon to benefit local special needs families
Community walkathon raises funds and awareness for children with special needs and their families
The B Jolly Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to "Lifting Your Spirits" for children with special needs and their families, will host its inaugural B Jolly Walkathon on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at Seven Gables Park in Wheaton.
The event invites individuals, families, and businesses across the western suburbs of Chicago to come together in support of children with special needs and the families who care for them.
Participants will walk a family-friendly route through the park, with proceeds directly supporting the foundation’s programs and services.
"This walkathon is about building community around families who often feel isolated by the challenges they face," said Ginny Jolly, founder of the B Jolly Foundation. "Every step taken that morning helps us lift up a family who needs it."
The B Jolly Foundation offers a tiered sponsorship program for local businesses and community members who wish to support the event, ranging from the Kind ($50) to the Joyful ($1,000+) level. Sponsors and walkers can register or contribute ahead of the event.
Registration and sponsorship details are available by contacting the foundation directly.
