Palatine Township Seeks Applicant for Palatine Fire Protection District Board
Those interested in serving on the Palatine Rural Fire Protection District Board must submit resumes by April 19, 2021.
The Palatine Township board will be accepting resumes for an open seat on the Palatine Rural Fire Protection District. The term of the appointment is three years, starting May 1, 2021, and expiring on April 30, 2024.
The board of trustees for the Palatine Rural Fire Protection District consists of three board seats, and members meet monthly on the second Monday of the month. Responsibilities include managing budgets, approving contracts and overseeing the administration of the department. The overall role of the board is to supervise, control, regulate and manage the rural fire protection district.
Applicants interested in applying for the Palatine Rural Fire Protection District opening must reside within the borders of the Palatine Rural Fire Protection District service area.
"Candidates who are willing to serve in this role and are passionate about their community are invited to apply for these openings," said Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson. "Only those who live in the service areas for each of the fire protection districts will be considered."
Resumes will be accepted until the close of business Monday, April 19, 2021, and should be emailed directly to Supervisor Langlotz-Johnson at sljohnson@palatinetownship -il.gov or dropped off at the Palatine Township administration desk, Attn: Supervisor Langlotz-Johnson, 721 S. Quentin Road, Palatine, Illinois 60067.
