Roselle Lions to host July 11 blood drive to address summer shortage

Local residents are invited to help save lives by participating in a Versiti blood drive sponsored by the Roselle Lions Club on Saturday, July 11, at the Roselle American Legion community room, 344 E. Maple Ave.

With summer heat keeping local blood supplies low and hospitals experiencing ongoing demand for lifesaving blood products, the Lions Club emphasizes that every donation can impact more than three patients.

“Blood donations make a difference and save lives every day,” said Jeff Cholewa, Roselle Lions Club president. “Whether accident victims, cancer patients or those undergoing surgeries, the need never stops. We are asking our community to step forward and help ensure a stable supply during the summer months.”

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with walk-in donors welcome and appointments encouraged. Prospective donors can register at tinyurl.com/ys6r5k7z. Donors are encouraged to eat a good meal and drink water before their donation time.

Snacks a various drinks will be available for donors after their session.
