Police: Report of woman being held against her will in Schaumburg was inaccurate

A report of a woman being held against her will in Schaumburg Thursday morning was inaccurate, police said.

Schaumburg police officials are still investigating the incident that led to the arrest of a man who fled through the window of a residence on Wildflower Court when officers arrived just before 11 a.m.

He was caught a short distance away.

No charges have been announced.

Schaumburg officials posted the warning on the village’s Facebook page to alert residents to the large police presence and to avoid the area.
