Learn about volunteer opportunities in the suburbs

Nonprofit groups from throughout the Chicago area will gather for a volunteer fair on Saturday, June 20.

The event, hosted by Democratic state Sen. Julie Morrison of Lake Forest, will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Suburban YMCA, 2705 Techny Road, Northbrook.

Organizations scheduled to participate include Lambs Farm, Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter and YouthBuild Lake County.
