Sonny Acres Farm’s fourth annual Pro Rodeo now over two weekends
Dust off your boots! This summer, Sonny Acres Farm in West Chicago is once again hosting their fan-favorite pro rodeo experience, named in the top 5 Pro Rodeo experiences in the nation by the International Pro Rodeo Association
The farm at 29W310 North Ave. has added a second weekend of performances running back to back June 12-14 and June 19-20. A family-friendly, all-ages experience, the Sonny Acres Farm Pro Rodeo and Bull Riding event will wow audiences with a mix of world-class performances including bareback riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, girls breakaway roping, cowgirls barrel racing, bull riding and more.
Guests will also be able to enjoy the farm’s many amusement rides, live music, petting zoo, bar, kitchen and grill, shops and more. General admission tickets as well as tiered package bundles are on sale now via the Sonny Acres website, sonnyacres.com/pro-rodeo-at-sonny-acres-farm/.
In partnership with Big Hat Rodeo, the Midwest’s premier Pro Rodeo production company for over 100 years, the event of the summer will offer families and fans a chance to enjoy a mixture of traditional rodeo competitions and world-class entertainment performances.
Renowned trick rider and Roman Rider Dusti Crain Dickerson will perform her specialty act — standing atop two running horses simultaneously wowing crowds with spectacular maneuvers, including a jaw-dropping fire jump audiences will need to see to believe. Known for daredevil performances, Dickerson will perform throughout both weekends for all to enjoy.
“Three years of unforgettable nights, and this community has made every single one of them magic,” said Jeannine Fontana, Sonny Acres Farm. “We are beyond proud to be bringing our Pro Rodeo back for its fourth year and even more excited to see what memories we make together this time around. World-class talent, great food, cold drinks, fun for the kids — a summer night in Chicagoland doesn't get better than this.”
The Pro Rodeos will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, June 12-20. Gates open at 4 p.m. There also will be shows from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 14; gates open at noon.
