Help complete painting at Gary UMC gallery in Wheaton

You have the chance to contribute to a painting at the Art Gallery at Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton this weekend.

The Gary Church Art Gallery, with a theme of “Courageous Love,” will run Friday, June 5, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 6, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Friday is the opening gala (with refreshments), including remarks at 6:30 p.m.

The Gary Church Art Gallery will feature original artwork from local artists. A painting, started by artist Rebekah Stoneberg, will be available for you to help complete during art gallery hours.

The church at 224 N. Main St. has celebrated deep roots in the community since 1853. The church has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions.
