Fox Lake man facing charges after sexual assault investigation

A Fox Lake man faces several felony charges involving the reported sexual assault last month of a 13-year old girl.

Ricardo Rocha Castro, 34, of the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue, was charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child under 13, criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to Fox Lake police.

A woman told responding officers last month that her 13-year old daughter had been sexually assaulted earlier that day by a man she identified as Castro, according a news release.

Castro had fled before police arrive but was later arrested with the assistance of Palatine police.

Rocha Castro was scheduled to appear for a detention hearing Friday afternoon.
